Terms of Sale & Returns
Last updated: March 2026
1. About the Studio
Allenstein Sewing is a one–person studio based in Dublin, Ireland, creating small–batch, limited–edition bags and pouches by hand. Each piece is produced in very limited quantities and may show subtle variations that are inherent to handmade work, not defects.
2. Orders & Payment
All orders are placed securely via Stripe payment links. By completing payment you confirm that you have reviewed the product details, price, and these Terms of Sale & Returns.
Prices are listed in Euro (EUR). I am a small Irish sole trader and am not currently registered for VAT; no VAT is charged on your order. Local import taxes, customs duties, and handling fees (if any) are the responsibility of the buyer.
3. Shipping & Customs
Orders are shipped from Dublin, Ireland. Estimated dispatch and delivery time frames are indicated on the product page; these are not guaranteed and may vary due to carrier delays or customs processing.
For orders shipped outside the EU, any import VAT, customs duties, or handling fees charged by your local customs authority or postal service are your responsibility.
4. Returns & EU Right of Withdrawal
As a small studio working in limited runs, I am not able to offer change‑of‑mind returns or exchanges beyond your statutory consumer rights. Please choose carefully before ordering.
If you are an EU/EEA consumer buying online, you still have a legal right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason (the "cooling‑off" period).
To exercise this right:
- Email [email protected] within 14 days of delivery, stating your order details and that you wish to withdraw.
- Return the item within 14 days of notifying me, in its original condition: unused, unwashed, and with all labels and packaging.
- You are responsible for the cost of returning the item, unless I have expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
Once I receive the returned item and have checked its condition, I will process your refund within 14 days using the same payment method you used for the original order.
If the item has been used, damaged, or handled more than necessary to examine its nature, characteristics, and functioning, I may deduct an appropriate amount from your refund to reflect any loss in value.
5. Faulty or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or not as described, please email [email protected] within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the issue. Where the problem is confirmed, I will repair, replace, or refund the item in line with Irish and EU consumer law, and cover reasonable return shipping if required.
6. Handmade Characteristics
Small variations in stitching, pattern placement, or colour between pieces are part of the handmade process and do not constitute faults. Product photographs are representative, but exact colours may vary between screens.
7. Governing Law
These Terms of Sale & Returns are governed by the laws of Ireland. If you are an EU consumer, any mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence also apply in addition to Irish law.
If you have any questions, please contact: [email protected].
